Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 29, 2025
🔒 BlitzPDF is designed with privacy as a core principle. Your PDF files are processed entirely on your device and never uploaded to any server.
Data We Don't Collect
- We do not upload your PDF files to any server
- We do not collect or store your documents
- We do not track which files you process
- We do not use analytics or tracking scripts
- We do not collect personal information
How It Works
All PDF processing (merging, splitting, compressing) happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your files never leave your device. This is fundamentally different from cloud-based PDF tools that require uploading your documents to their servers.
Data We Do Store Locally
BlitzPDF stores minimal data locally on your device using Chrome's storage API:
- Usage count: We track how many operations you've used today to enforce the free tier limit (3 per day). This resets daily and is stored only on your device.
- Pro status: If you purchase Pro, we store your upgrade status locally to enable unlimited operations.
Payments
If you choose to upgrade to Pro, payment is processed securely by Stripe through ExtensionPay. We receive confirmation that payment was successful, but we never see or store your payment details (credit card number, etc.).
Permissions
BlitzPDF requests only one Chrome permission:
- storage: Used to save your usage count and Pro status locally on your device.
Third-Party Services
- ExtensionPay: Handles Pro upgrade payments. Their privacy policy is available at extensionpay.com.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
